Scientology is for idiots.
Alright I've let this Scientology crap go for a long time without saying much about it. One thing I really love about the web (other than all the free porn and music you can get) is that people can use the web to propagate information that would normally be muffled. That site details the actual specifics behind Scientology and I'll tell you...it's quite infuriating once you start reading about it. In light of recent events, I still can't figure out why brainwashing cults are still allowed in this country so I've decided that anything remotely connected to Tom Cruise, Kirstie "Death To All Twinkies" Alley, Issac Hayes or any other brain-dead, fart-huffing Scientologist is pure garbage. I think I'd rather sign up for Heaven's Gate, The Jim Jones Cult or even those skinny, little Asian kids selling roses on the freeway before I'd hang with these idiots.
And let me extend my middle finger by posting this list of known members and their cute, little spaceship ranks too.

Scientology is the tip of the idiot iceberg. And just like a real iceberg the majority of it is underwater. I consider the underwater part to be mainstream religions which people treat as being beyond reproach.
Lumping all religions together and stamping them with the label "idiots" isn't really fair. For every person out there that goes off the deep end with their "religious" beliefs, there are a myriad of individuals who find solace in their belief systems and wish only to have the freedom to worship as they see fit. It's their window into the world and it helps give them purpose and perspective.
We also have to understand that there is a HUGE difference between religions as organizations and religions as personal belief systems. The issue with Scientology, in my mind, is that it's focused entirely on the former definition. It comes off as nothing more than a pseudo-philosophical club for the celebrity elite.
Well that's because the celebrity elite are the only ones who can afford the million dollar entry fees. This is nothing but a UFO Cult and nothing more. Once you read about mythos behind it, you'll find very little differences in Scientology and Heaven's Gate. I would never classify religious people as "idiotic", but cults are for fools. Personally, religion just aint my style, but neither is bigfoot, the yetti, any superstitious rituals or BS or anything else I have to take someone else's word over my own personal experiences for validation.
How could you say that about Bigfoot? You better hope he doesn't have Internet access. The two of us together might be able to take down Sasquatch but if he brings Chupacabra, we're SCREWED!
