Spider-Man 3 Teaser Trailer

Right here. I was afraid the teaser would be really lame with maybe a shot or two of Spider-Man swinging around in a black costume. I'm glad to see I was very wrong. For the record, it's actually Spider-Man NOT Spiderman. I apologize for the grievous errors made in the following post.

Now with that said, here's what you need to take away from the teaser. Spider-Man bonds with this black entity, which in the comics is an alien symbiote. The symbiote actually becomes his costume and provides him with organic web shooters. This symbiote eventually bonds with Eddie Brock and becomes the villian known as Venom. It's important that you realize this thing is BAD NEWS. Like "The One Ring", it has a tendency to corrupt the individual who bonds with it. My guess is that we will see this thing bond with Spider-Man and watch as our favorite web-crawler spirals downward, losing the people he loves in the process. At some point, he will redeem himself and say "Adios" to the symbiote, which ends up bonding with Eddie (played by Topher Grace). If my knowledge of canon is accurate, Eddie resents Parker for his photog skills and this anger fuels the symbiote, thus creating a bad mamma jamma. The inclusion of Sandman is a nice bonus and will allow for some nifty particle effects.

I think it's also worth noting that Peter isn't dancing with some random female. That has to be Gwen Stacy, and if you don't know what's going to happen to her, I'm not going to ruin it for you. Without a doubt in my mind, this movie is going to be the darkest of the three and quite possibly the best of the trilogy. With all that's going on in the film, it wouldn't suprise me to see The Lizard in there as well. All of this could lead to a Spider-Man who is physically and emotionally broken. And suffering is good entertainment. Yee-haw!
