The Web Log Experiment
A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. -- Margaret Mead

Doom Trailer
I wasn't too sure about this movie, until I saw the latest trailer. The movie may flop like there's no tomorrow, but I'm thoroughly impressed by how cool the first person perspective looks. It seems to translate really well. Whether it's enough to sustain a whole movie remains to be seen.
Asheron's Call 2 Coming to a Close
Dear Asheron,
I regret to inform you that your lease on Dereth has expired. Although you have provided us with original content and characters, addictive gameplay, and lush environments, it is no longer financially feasible for you to remain in said property. I, for one, have enjoyed our times together...fighting The Drudge and dancing in Cragstone. To all things there is a season and now I bid you farewell. You were my first, and that will always earn you a special place in my heart.
Sincerely,
John Francis
Little Tiny MP3 Player
Isn't it precious? Less than an inch cubed (0.94" to be exact) and packed with everything I need in a MP3 player. The potential for choking and loss is great, but imagine being able to carry a gig of music (or data) around on your keychain. You can even pick one up at Wal-Mart.
Logitech G5 Laser Mouse
This mouse is even too geeky for me...but I'd be lying if I said I didn't secretly desire it.
XBOX 360 = Empty Wallets
It looks like the XBOX 360 will be the Lamborghini of the the Next Gen consoles.

Company Selling Trips to the Moon
Sign me up. I am now taking donations via Paypal, and although I'm happy to get the kind that jingles, I would prefer the kind that folds.
Metroid Cubed
Now you can play Metroid, via the internet, from a completely different angle. It just doesn't feel right without the controller.

The Video Game Pianist
I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this guy in action before. I just happened upon this while reading a review of the Video Games Live performance in L.A. Apparently, Martin Leung performed a piece for the concert and he may actually be going on tour with them. To say this guy is freaking incredible would be an understatement. Go to the video section of his site to see his handiwork.
Video Game Player Guilty in Alabama Slaying
More bad press for GTA. I don't know how long Rockstar Games can fight off the sharks, considering how much blood there is in the water.
Maddox Needs Illustrators: Results
There is quite a lot of talent among Maddox fans. Too bad he wasn't looking for someone to recite lyrics to "Informer"...while juggling. :(
Grandma Sues Over Hot Coffee
It was only a matter of time. Is anyone else troubled by the fact that a grandmother bought this game for her 14 year old grandchild? I guess she didn't mind that he was shooting cops, beating up hookers, and causing wanton destruction. I'm so sick of people not being able to parent properly and blaming the game industry for everything from colon cancer to athlete's foot.
Smelly Animal Urine Shuts Down KY Lab
What can one really say about this, that hasn't already been said in the title?
March of the Penguins
Long live the documentary. I took my wife to see this for her birthday and it's really quite good. One of the best movies I've seen this summer.
Video Games Live
Would you like to hear the music from some of your favorite games performed live in concert? Well...you're in luck! VGL is being touted as a "music concert, theatrical stage show, and interactive video game all wrapped in one". It looks like a lot of the tour dates have been postponed or cancelled, but I believe they're just rescheduling things based on the turnout for the first show in L.A.
Top 10 Web Fads
These are the top 10 internet fads according to CNET. I'm only familiar with 6 of them. I guess the modified G.I.Joe public service announcements aren't mainstream enough for this list. Oh well.
